Fil de Veu is a short documentary about Alguerès, the Catalan language spoken in Alghero, told through the voices of the people who keep it alive and pass it on.
The title, "A Thread of Voice", holds the essence of the project. On one side there is fragility, something that could break at any moment, like a language growing thinner with every generation. On the other side there is the thread that ties memory to what comes next, a cultural inheritance handed down from voice to voice.
A collective memory, told spontaneously by local people in their everyday surroundings. A portrait of community and identity, guided by listening and by encounter.
